As insulation thicknesses are on the increase in conformance of new building regulations, and thermal conductivity of fasteners becomes more of an issue; the traditional metal plate and screw mechanical fastening is becoming obsolete.
Polisystem's telescopic tube programme offers many advantages to the conventional mechanical method of insulation and single-ply membranes. Thicker insulation boards can be accommodated, cold bridging is eliminated and more positive installation is ensured.
Both the oval 82mm x 40mm and 50mm round telescopic tube fasteners are available for attaching single-ply membranes to various substrates, whilst an 80mm round telescopic tube fastener is offered for the insulation board fix.
The range of telescopic tube fasteners meet the thermal conductivity performance criteria which facilitates compliance to Part L (England) and part J (Scotland) Building Regulations and Standards.
As well as the telescopic tubes and fasteners we have included peel rivets to overcome the problems associated with fixing to problem decks (refer page 18) and a range of common fixings to secure metal flashings and peel stop bars to complete the overall roofing system.
