Polisystem operates on the Italian market through separate commercial offices: Management and Business Headquarters are based in Pasiano in Italy. The Company has been in operation since 1993 and has undergone continuous upgrading to satisfy market demands, in terms of both quality and quantity.
At the start of 2002 Polisystem SpA became a member of the Italiana Membrane Group; the leading Company in the industrial and domestic waterproofing products trade.
Polisystem's accession to the Italiana Membrane Group is to be regarded as of strategic importance to the development of new markets for TPO, as Italiana Membrane, a long established Company in the waterproofing materials industry, can contribute significant development synergy to the new TPO market.
While technological innovation in many areas of the building and civil engineering trades has led to radical changes in the choice of materials and installation systems, with the consequent adaptation of standards and legislation, the waterproofing sector, while being an integral part of the building trade, has not kept the same pace. It is still searching for a technological and innovative leap forward to complement the bituminous layers, which currently account for the majority of waterproofing materials.
This is the scenario in which the alliance of Italiana Membrane and Polisystem has taken place for the production of high-quality waterproofing layers based on polyolefin (polypropylene). This material imparts all the required technical features of resistance to atmospheric agents combined with high performance at both low temperature (-40°C) and high temperature (+140°C) to the covering. Emphasis should also be placed on its long durability, total product recyclability, improved on-the-job hygiene (absence of fumes) and safe application (welding without the use of a naked flame).
